Many things have changed since 1910 when Frank Snow started making ice cream in Pumpkin Hollow, Conway, MA. Yet his mission of making and selling the very best has not changed. To continue the tradition of offering the best products and services, Bart's Homemade of Northampton, MA joined forces with Snow's Nice Cream in 1983. Snow's and Bart's joined together again to create Connecticut River Valley Foods in 1997.

Connecticut River Valley Foods provides high quality food and speciality products from our region's independent producers. We bring these producers together  with independent retailers and other key members of our regional food economy, such as farmers, small supermarkets and other distributors.

Valley Foods has discovered some outstanding local and regional companies.  We continue to seek out those who grow, process or produce food and other speciality items in the Connecticut River Valley and surrounding region. By bringing together area producers with area retailers, we can provide the consumer with locally produced items that sustain and nourish our entire region.

Products like Chubby's Salsa & Bar-B-Q sauce, Twin Willows Turkey Sausages, Vermont Stuffed Pretzels, Myron's Sauces, Smith's Country Gouda Cheese, New England Natural Baker's Granola, Zato Siljo Sauces, Lightlife Foods, Claudio's Classics, Catamount Specalties of Vermont and New Salem Tea Breads help us bring our customers the freshest local products.

With your support, Connecticut River Valley Foods will promote the growth of the local economy and the fiscal independence of the people of the Connecticut River Valley. Together we can produce and sell great products, and take an active part in strengthening the sustainability of our regional farmers, processors and independent retailers. Please join us in this effort!
